ABOUT THE WORK

New Jersey Maine Coons: improving content, FAQs and internal navigation

Choosing a breeder involves questions that photographs alone cannot answer. Prospective owners want to learn about the cattery, available kittens, the adoption process and the support they can expect. My work on New Jersey Maine Coons focused on improving the content of an existing website through SEO refinement, useful FAQs and internal-link cleanup.

The business presents itself as Queen City Maine Coons, a family-run cattery based in New Jersey. Its website introduces the cats, available and past kittens, breeding information and enquiry options. My role was to make that information more useful and connected, helping visitors move from an initial search to a better-informed conversation with the breeder.

Business context and the customer journey

A visitor searching for Maine Coon kittens may begin with availability, but the decision involves a much wider set of concerns. They may want to understand the parents, ask about care arrangements, review the adoption process or plan how a kitten will join their household. The site needs to support that research without treating every page as another sales pitch.

The existing navigation provides distinct destinations for Available Kittens, Kings & Queens, Past Kittens, Waiting List, FAQ, Blog and Contact. These sections give the content work a strong foundation. Each page can answer a different question while contributing to one coherent journey.

SEO content with a clear purpose

The project included a client-supplied keyword brief. I worked with those topics in context, connecting search language with the actual information visitors need. Location and breed terms are useful when they clarify the business and its offering; they are less useful when repeated mechanically across every paragraph.

My content approach was therefore to develop relevant explanations around the cattery, kittens and ownership journey. Headings help readers identify a topic quickly, while the surrounding text adds enough detail to answer the question behind the search. This makes the content more useful than a page built around disconnected phrases.

FAQs that add information

FAQ improvements were an important part of the work. A good question-and-answer section helps visitors resolve practical uncertainties before making contact. It should also complement the main page rather than reproduce the same paragraph in a different format. I focused on useful, distinct explanations that fit the subject of the surrounding content.

For a breeder website, that structure supports a more considered enquiry. Someone can explore availability, learn about the process and then contact the business with a specific question. The FAQ becomes part of the information architecture rather than a decorative block added solely to make a page longer.

Internal links and content cleanup

I also worked on internal-link cleanup so related information could connect naturally. A page discussing the adoption journey can guide visitors toward available kittens or contact details; educational content can point to relevant background information. The destination should match the reader’s immediate need, with descriptive wording that explains why following the link is useful.

The work extended to blog-content cleanup and the use of available site imagery. These details help the content feel complete within the existing website. Clear text, relevant media and purposeful links work together, while incomplete editorial fragments interrupt the reader’s experience and weaken the presentation.

Working within the existing design

The website’s cat photography and cream-and-gold identity provide a warm visual setting for the content. My work respected that established presentation while improving what the pages communicated. Content refinement requires attention to layout because longer explanations, new headings and additional links all affect how a section reads.

I approached the existing WordPress and Elementor environment with that relationship in mind. Paragraph length, heading placement and link context should help the reader follow the page without overwhelming the imagery or making every section feel equally dense. This is a practical example of my WordPress development and improvement work on an established business website.

Features supporting an informed enquiry

The public experience brings together kitten listings, parent-cat information, a waiting-list route, educational resources and a contact form. The form gives visitors space to share their location, preferred contact method and message. My content work supports those existing functions by helping people understand the business before reaching that point.

New Jersey Maine Coons shows how focused editorial and navigation improvements can strengthen an existing website’s usefulness. My contribution here combined contextual SEO writing, purposeful FAQs and better-connected information, with the needs of prospective owners guiding the work.
